CARBON RIMS IN FALCON WHEELS

All rims used in Falcon wheels meet the highest quality and safety standards.

This is confirmed by the UCI impact test and certification as well as the number of satisfied Falcon wheel users.

Symmetrical and asymmetrical hoops

For road wheels we use standard symmetrical rims.

In Gravel and MTB wheels we use asymmetric rims.

The rim asymmetry (offset) in Falcon Gravel and MTB wheels is up to 3 mm and is practically unnoticeable on the bike, as can be seen in the attached photo. On the left, an asymmetric MTB rim, on the right, a symmetrical 38mm road rim.

Rim asymmetry (shift of the nipple hole axis by the so-called offset) causes the spokes on the non-drive side to be tensioned with greater force than in symmetrical rims.

The road wheel is not subject to large overloads due to the type of surface on which it is used and therefore the symmetrical rims fully fulfill their functions.

Gravel and MTB wheels work in harder terrain and under greater load. Stronger (than in symmetrical rims) spoke tension on the counter-drive side makes the wheel stiffer and more stable and more resistant to overloads or the popularly known as "centers".

Most gravel wheels are offered with a 24-spoke lacing, and asymmetrical rims are a better solution than symmetrical ones.

FALCON logo

It is placed at the rim production stage and thermally hardened.

1cm wide gold strip with a Falcon "window" through which the rim is visible and is located opposite the valve hole.

Two gold nipples at the valve hole

The trademark of Falcon wheels are the unique 2 gold nipples at the valve hole, which perfectly fit into the aesthetics of the wheel and give them a unique look.
