Asymmetric rim is a laterally stiffer and more stable wheel, which, when riding off-road, often with various obstacles (stones, roots, holes, grooves, etc.) affects the riding comfort and, above all, safety.
If you are looking for solid and reliable wheels for gravel / cyclo-cross that will also be used in your road bike (you only need to change the tires), this is the best choice you can take.
